Things I Notice on the Web
1. Stupid people are always self-confident.
Corollary 1: Stupid people think they are smarter than actual specialists in their fields.
Corollary 2: In an hour of researching a topic on Wikipedia you are as qualified as a PhD. In two hours, you are now the definitive expert on the matter.
Corollary 3: Always doubt the conclusions of others. Instead come up with your own based on nothing.
2. Degrading women is always funny.
Corollary: People who suggest otherwise deserve to be crucified
3. All internet memes are hilarious and should be used often.
4. Nihilism is always the correct (and importantly: “the most awesome”) viewpoint.
I think every action, comment, or blog on the web, that is otherwise inexplicable, follow from these four axioms.
